Scarecrow Festival
The Uffington Scarecrow Festival is back for another brilliant bank holiday weekend — and 2026 has a special twist. This year’s theme is Our Planet & the Natural World, celebrating Sir David Attenborough’s 100th birthday. Expect some wonderfully creative scarecrow displays as the village pays tribute to the great man himself.
Entry is just £5 per car, covering your parking and a quiz sheet — a price that hasn’t budged in around 15 years.
There’s masses to see and do across both days: alpacas, classic cars, a miniature steam train, a Craft Barn full of local makers, live music, welly wanging, face painting, church tower tours, BBQ, homemade cakes and much more. On Sunday, the Dog Show kicks off at 1pm — don’t miss the Dog & Owner Lookalike class!
It’s a community event through and through, drawing over 5,000 visitors each year while keeping that warm village atmosphere that makes it so special.
