Scarecrows 2024 – A BBC Bonanza!

Get ready to set your dials to “fun” because our beloved Scarecrow Festival is back with a bang on the 5th & 6th of May, from 11am to 4pm, and this year’s theme is one for the history books: “A Celebration of the BBC.” Yes, you heard right! We’re inviting everyone to step into the world of television, with scarecrows inspired by everything from the adventurous realms of Doctor Who to the dazzling dance floor of Strictly Come Dancing, and maybe even a peek into the Blue Peter garden!
For the tiny admission of £5 per car, you gain access to parking, the festival itself, a quiz sheet, and a village map — everything you need for a day packed with adventure and discovery. If you’re joining us on foot, a quiz sheet can be yours for just £2.50, with no parking worries. Best of all, every penny we raise will be channeled back into our village, supporting vital causes like the upkeep of our beautiful thatched village hall, the local church, school, and cricket club. It’s our way of ensuring that Uffington remains a wonderful place to live and visit.
