Scarecrows 2025

The Uffington Scarecrow Festival is back for another spectacular May Bank Holiday Weekend, bringing our village to life with amazing handmade scarecrows, family fun, and plenty of community spirit!

This year’s theme: ‘Heroes & Heroines’

Who will make an appearance this year? Will we see King Arthur with his sword in the stone? Wonder Woman striking a pose? Or even David Attenborough keeping an eye on our local wildlife? We can’t say for sure, but we do know that our villagers always pull out all the stops with their creative and quirky scarecrow designs!

Festival attractions

Alongside the Scarecrow Quiz Trail, there’s plenty more to enjoy, including:

🐶 Dog Show (Sunday) – A must for dog lovers!
💃 Rutland Morris Dancers (Monday) – A lively performance to entertain the crowds.
🚒 Ride-on Mini Fire Engine – A favourite for the little ones!
🎨 Craft Barn, Face Painting & Bouncy Castles – Perfect for young festivalgoers.
🚜 Farm Machinery, Classic Cars & Model Railway – A fascinating showcase for all ages.
🎟 Tombolas, Book & Plant Stalls, Traditional Games & More!
🍰 BBQ, Cake Stalls & Ice Cream – Treat yourself to something delicious!

🎟 Entry: £5 per car (includes parking & quiz sheet)
🚶‍♂️ Quiz sheet only: £2.50

No booking required – just turn up and enjoy! Whether you’re a returning visitor or new to the festival, we can’t wait to welcome you for a weekend full of fun, creativity, and fantastic scarecrows!
